If you are running Solaris, simply click on the startcd.sh icon to launch the Sun Solutions CD and components. This will allow you to search the disc as well as launch product demonstrations and trial software directly from your browser.
If you are running Windows, the CD should launch automatically if you have autorun enabled. If you do not have autorun enabled, you should click on the winsolcd icon at the root level of the CD (usually the D: drive).
If the CD Does Not Launch
On some windows systems, you may notice the CD will not launch after trying one of the methods above. If this happens, make sure you have a clean system and are not running any conflicting services in the background. You can still browse the contents of the CD by opening the D:\products\index.html page directly from your browser. You will be unable to use the automatic installation feature in this case.
-Manual Software Installation
In the case where an automatic software installation does not work correctly or you are unable to use the automatic software installation features as described above, you can still perform manual installations of the software.
In the D:\products\Software directory is a list of all the ISV participants on the CD. Each one of these has an _install directory where the product demonstration or trial software resides. Simply launch the software through your windows explorer as you normally would.
